Abstract

Precambrian rocks exposed in the core of the northwestern Uncompahgre Plateau of Utah and Colorado are subdivided into four units on the basis of geophysical and lithologic properties. Direct correlation of geophysical anomalies are made in areas where Precambrian rocks are exposed and extrapolations based on characteristic geophysical anomalies for these units are made for areas where these rocks are buried.
