Abstract

New formation and member names together with descriptions of type sections and brief paleontologic data are given for units ot Permian rocks in the Glass Mountains of west Texas. The Leonardian Series is thus revised to consist of the Skinner Ranch Formation, mostly calcareous, and the Cathedral Mountain Formation, mostly siliceous. The Skinner Ranch is subdivided into the Decie Ranch, Poplar Tank, and Sullivan Peak Members. A basal unit of the Word Formation of the Guadalupian Series is described and named the Road Canyon Member
