This evaluation of the oil and gas possibilities of the Ouachita structural belt has grown out of an extensive subsurface structural, petrographic, and stratigraphic study of the Ouachita system which began a number of years ago and which is approaching completion as a project of the Bureau of Economic Geology of The University of Texas.
