While examining and measuring uppermost Triassic and marine Jurassic sections during 1952 and 1953, Triassic facies relationships were established which necessitate revisions of the present nomenclature. The revisions include a reinterpretation of the Triassic-Jurassic boundary and the elimination of the name Nugget(?) sandstone in areas south and west of the Freezeout Hills in northern Carbon County, Wyoming. A new name is proposed for this sandstone unit.
