"Rubble deposits, caused by subaqueous mudflows, and graded deposits, resulting from turbidity currents, are cited as examples of secondary bedding. Secondary bedding in northwestern Peru is described and the role of tectonic movement during deposition is stressed. A rubble deposit, overlain by a graded deposit is considered a normal, but not invariable, sequence in certain types of secondary bedding."
