Abstract

The discovery well of the Manantiales field, Chile, located on a seismic high, encountered oil at a depth of 2,259 meters. "About 1,000 meters of the Serie Tobifera, 10-35 meters of the Springhill formation, 750 meters of upper Cretaceous rocks, and about 1,500 meters of Tertiary and Quaternary rocks are present in this locality."
