Two outcrops of volcanic tuffs have been noted in T. 15 N., R. 5 W., near Cashion, Oklahoma, one in the northwest quarter of Section 10 and the other in the southeast quarter of Section 2.
The outcrop in Section 10 is about 150 feet long, extending north and south, and is the surface bed immediately overlying Permian red beds. Some of the volcanic material is partially indurated and breaks into pieces about the size of a man’s head. These pieces are very light in weight for their size and are quite porous.
