What I want to talk about today is the world’s use of oil, the relationship of world population growth to this use, and what the energy situation might be in the future. Although my remarks are intended for those of us in the petroleum exploration and production business, my remarks are also addressed to the public, particularly the American-public. The public thinks that oil has always been around and never really worries that it might not be around in the future.
