Von Tish et al (1985) presented information and conclusions regarding the Tertiary tectonic and depositional history of the Sevier Desert basin of west-central Utah. We believe they (1) overlooked pertinent data from the area, (2) presented and referenced information that perhaps has not been evaluated as thoroughly as desirable, and (3) reached conclusions that inaccurately describe the tectonics and stratigraphy.
