The discussion by Morrow (1986) regarding accuracy of transition matrices in Markov analysis brings up several important points that we wish to respond to. Discussion mainly concerns the transition frequency matrices incorporated into our analysis of the Morgan Formation (Tables 1 and 3 in Driese and Dott, 1984).
