ABSTRACT
Exploratory drilling in south Texas fell modestly on an as-reported basis from 1984 to 1985, whereas development drilling saw a significant gain. Incomplete calendar year numbers, however, point to a significant slowdown of exploratory drilling in 1985. The 3 regionally significant wildcat trends by rank were the deep Yegua, the deep Wilcox flexure, and the Sligo reef.
