Abstract
There was no drilling on the onshore Atlantic coastal plain during 1975, but drilling is expected to begin during 1976 in North Carolina. A stratigraphic test was spudded late in 1975 on the offshore Atlantic continental shelf to test the sediments in the Baltimore Canyon trough area. The Draft Environmental Impact Statement for proposed leasing of shelf areas in the Baltimore Trough was released during 1975 and leasing is expected during 1976.
