The harmonious association which SEG has had with AAPG and SEPM stems from the interdependence of the professions which they represent in the exploration for energy resources. Both geologists and geophysicists make unique contributions in this area, but neither can accomplish nearly as much alone as both can achieve when they work together with adequate coordination.
