The excellent article by Bruce Harlton on the “Relation of buried Tishomingo uplift to Ardmore basin and Ouachita Mountains, southeastern Oklahoma” (p. 1365, this issue) is of great interest to me because of the extensive lease play (now unfortunately defunct) which was initiated by J. V. Howell and me about 1950. This area has always been interesting geologically because of the many theories and conflicting beliefs held on the complex problems of the Ouachita Mountains.
