Ten wells were drilled in Garrett County, Maryland, of which six produced gas. In Virginia, wells were drilled in Dickenson, Russell, Wise, and Rockingham counties; seventeen were completed with commercial showings of natural gas. Coastal Plain activity was limited to one shallow well in Charles County, Maryland.
