A recent study of samples from an old well at the Bayou des Glaises dome has revealed the presence of Jackson, probably Yazoo, sediments at two and possibly three horizons in the salt stock. The sediments, originally reported by the driller as “lignite or lignitic impurities,” were encountered in the Humble Oil and Refining Company’s M. L. Kurzweg No. 1.
