In working with well logs, I have felt the need of some sort of mechanical device that would reduce with accuracy and speed, well log footages to sea level elevations. Other Geologists have expressed the need of such a device. The accompanying sketch designs an instrument which I believe will fill this need. I have called this instrument a Logmeter.
