The Humble Oil and Refining Company’s wildcat test, the Reynolds Cattle Company B-1, was located in Sec. 33, Block 62, Public School Land Survey, in south-central Culberson County, Texas, about 23 miles northeast of Van Horn and approximately 9 miles north-northwest of Boracho Switch on the Texas and Pacific Railroad. It was drilled on the large Apache Mountain surface structure on the southwest rim of the Delaware basin.
